pits down b can block samus's final smash until the last hit. use the shield and hit up while still holding b, pit will tilt the shield up so his feet are exposed, but his head is not. then samus uses her final smash, and the shield takes care of it except for the last hit which deals 16%.
oh and you can tilt pits down b up a bit, which covers pit against more attacks but it no longer reflects straight back at your opponent.
